In Finland’s embrace on a July morn,
Two dozen years ago, a life was born.
The journey started, the path unplanned,
A soul set forth in a Nordic land.

Degrees were earned, in IT first,
Then management, quenching a knowledge thirst.
A career in tech, two decades strong,
A tapestry of challenges, made right from wrong.

Twin boys, a joy, a father’s pride,
Friends near and far, life’s gentle guide.
Basketball, football, swimming, chess,
Hobbies that eased the daily stress.

Ethiopian roots, independence deep,
Lessons from mom, that forever keep.
She taught me to be wise and just,
A good citizen, a man of trust.

Proud of who I am, my spirit free,
Passion to help, to support with glee.
Equality’s champion, opportunities equal,
Grateful for health, joy’s true sequel.

Faith in God, a guiding light,
Love and warmth, in darkest night.
Resilient and firm, promises made,
Decisions stood by, fears allayed.

Love given and received in kind,
Moments cherished, future outlined.
Hope and wish, both realistic and grand,
With a positive attitude, firm I stand.

Respect for life, a personal creed,
Health and happiness, the foremost need.
As the 24-year circle completes today,
On July 17, 2024, I find my way.

All about me, a tale unrolled,
A story of strength, of heart and soul.
Respected, happy, healthy, true,
Grateful for life, and all I pursue.
