I have no research-based knowledge in the idea how to executing to have the expected outcome, nevertheless I believe that common sense and basic problem solving solution and learning from the mistakes are the basis of successful change. Change does not come by itself, but it needs dedicated change agents, drivers, genuine interest, and committed actors who want to make impact in Socio-economy and beyond reforming the country.

My intention today is to focus on the ongoing situation in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPDRF) regime in Ethiopian government domination time 1991-2019 has almost over with disgrace as Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) refused to be a part of EPDRF and attacked Ethiopia North Defense force in Tigray province last November 2020. Now Ethiopian army breaks the TPLF badly within 3 weeks and TPLF abandon governing the Tigray province. According to some news some of the leaders probably running to mountain cage and they are now surrounded by Ethiopia Defense force.
I hope that this situation will be over within the coming days or weeks without harming many causalities.

My question is though today, how to go forward from this milestone to build a democratic society without putting significant damage that puts horrible fingerprints?
According to Dr. Abiy Ahmed after 3 weeks of war against TPLF, “we are not singing a winning music, because we don’t want to be the same regime as TPLF in the future”. Moreover, he continue, “we need to treat the Tigrayan’s as a part of an Ethiopia society and those who made crime will be sent to the court and get their verdict according to their act”. Now it is time to build the country together towards peaceful, democratic and Prosperity direction.
However, what it takes to achieve these the so called the “holy trinity” #peace, #democracy and #prosperity issues without any trauma?

Here is some of my thoughts based on the experience I have where I live currently. I am witnessing how the citizens of Finland enjoy many individual and political freedoms without any discrimination. There difference is on the solution and methodology how to execute things or keeps benefits of their political objectives. These political ideologies are practicing throughout the country and touches if not the entire family it applies at least a part of family member.

Free and fair election has to be conduct that leads the country to start the reformation with the newly elected candidates.

The current constitution must be revised with the help of newly democratically elected representatives in order to avoid what happened with the TPLF ideological leading the country.

War is the worst thing in our humanity that leave its mark with so many casualties that cannot replace with anything. So start the healing process to create a situation that peoples can give merci to each other and start a new chapter that leads a peaceful life and trustworthy between tribes.

Make adjustment on political reformation that while respecting the diversity and identity of different tribes, build an ideological political parties with the base of objectives like economical, health, environmental, financial, services, and other common issues that keeps benefits of future generation, farmers, workers and elderly peoples. I believe this type of political reformation create the pave to development the country and avoid the “being enemy feeling” towards one another and seal the togetherness among diversity of tribes. Because these ideological issues can be implemented within any tribe and throughout the country.

Make sure that the institutions focus on what they are built for and are not corrupted. Institutions needs to be led by professionals in the field but not what tribe he or she belongs to and make sure that the position is not a permanently forever. The judiciary must be independent.

The constitution protect free speech and the media is responsible for its coverage based on the fact and actual data. In the case of false information and fake media narrative, the media should be liable to its coverage and will face for the damage or whip up that create unsettlement society in the court according to the constitution.

Build a systematic pedagogical approach that change the society mindset to walk with the current modernization way of building the country while not forgetting our identity and historical background of the country.

Teach the new generation within sufficient pedagogical system with trustworthy, logical way of thinking and conclusions, avoiding theft and corruption; keep the continuity environment to the feature and respecting the rule of law.

Finally, as always mentioned in the era of war, “our fathers thought us to keep our country unite, untouchable and its independent”. This word has kept for a long time and will be keeping in the future. However, this only not enough to bring the country to the next level.
What are our responsibilities? What we will left to the coming generation? How we continue the tradition what we learn from our fathers and mothers?

We have to work our behalf and pass the better country to the new generation. This can be demonstrating by making sure creating a tradition of peaceful transformation of government. This set the new cultural foundation to future generation. In order to accomplish this fingerprint we have to act NOW. It is the right time make a masterpiece!
With this kind of reform, the country will be transform to peaceful, democratic and prosperity without huge trauma!
